Role Summary/Purpose:
This Position is for Engine Dynamics Team Engineer role in
GE Aviation AT department,
PD&ST.

Engineer is responsible for assessing the aircraft engine for system dynamics evaluation thru numerical simulations. He/she is expected to provide design solutions for the challenges realted to system dynamics.



Essential Responsibilities

The broad responsibilities include:
- assessing the aircraft engine for system dynamics evaluation thru numerical simulations.
- provide design solutions and lead technical evaluations for the challenges related to system dynamics
- Effectively communicate with all the groups at global sites

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • PhD/ MTech / MS / BE in Mechanical/Aerospace/Civil Structural Engineering 
  • In-depth understanding of mechanical engineering, vibration, rotordynamics fundamentals 
  • 0-3+ years of relevant experience on Finite Element Analysis in relevant domain 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
Desired Characteristics:
  • * Dynamic assessment of the aircraft engine at system level 
  • * Strong numerical simulation experience in any of the commercially available FE packages 
  • * Design and analysis experience in gas turbine dynamics 
  • * Problem solving skills to solve engine dynamic related problems
